ABOUT PGDM PROGRAM

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program of HIMT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, Ministry of HRD and Government of India) in the year 2007. PGDM curriculum is revised and updated yearly to meet the dynamic needs of corporate world.

Objective of this PGDM Program:

  • 1.Inculcate business sense and improve analytical skills to enhance decision making.
  • 2.Extend industry academic interface to improve understanding of business dynamics.
  • 3.Evolving individual person to become corporate brand.
  • 4.Incubating entrepreneurial competencies through best endeavor.
  • 5.Up-build effective communication skills.

PGDM @ HIMT :

Team HIMT provides a conducive environment to nurture ordinary students into exceptionally lucrative professionals and provides a platform to kick start his/her career from greater height of corporate world. Our curriculum is designed and reviewed in collaboration with industry endorsed experts. Apart from that our key features are as follows:

  • 1. PGDBO: -This program is a 276 Hours program which can be done either four hours per day or one hour per day (5 days in a week) with a spreads to approx 3 months. The selection criterion has the following pattern:
  • a) Written communication skill check by a standard letter writing wherein there are six topics given and the student has to choose one amongst them.

  • b) A standard aptitude test checking reasoning, English which most of MBA entrance exams or banking exams are having

  • c) Verbal communication checked with an interviewer.

  • After completion of all screening process, the students will get a result on our online portal, clearing all three selection criterion is mandatory. The student who clears the tests is eligible for taking the training programs and an offer letter will be given from IFBI which provide job assurance in banking operation, whether with ICICI or non ICICI Bank.
  • 2. DIGITAL MARKETING CERTIFICATION: -The opportunities for a Digital Marketing professional are huge in India not only in terms of career growth opportunities, but also in monetary terms. A fresh graduate can easily obtain a role with a salary close to 25K per month to 6 Lakhs per annum, while experienced professionals can command remunerations in the range of 20‒75 lakhs per annum.

  • 3. ADVANCE EXCEL CERTIFICATION: -You can make a career in the sector of your interest since after completion of Advanced MS-excel and Macros. It has many advantages to those who would like to join multinational companies. These companies are using various advanced excel formulas and functions while preparing MIS reports for their organization. Excel is widely used to create financial statements, as well as many other types of financial reports, such as budget, forecast, cash flow, ratio analysis, financial modelling, business scenario and various other reports that help business to present its performance.
    All the certification classes are conducted by external domain expert and the certificate issued by authorized body.

STUDENTS EXPOSURE: At campus, PGDM students are involved in various activities that provide firsthand experience of industry. These activities include the following:

  • Industrial visit in esteemed companies like Mother Dairy, Coco cola, Yakult
  • Guest lecturers delivered by eminent corporate and academic personalities.
  • Short term live project with renowned companies like Sony, Future Retail Ltd (Big Bazaar)
  • Student had to go through eight weeks summer internships program wherein students undergo a practical training in a corporate house.
  • Various seminars & workshops being organized on contemporary environment.
  • Students are given various opportunities to earn and gain experience by participating in events organized at expo mart.

PGDM program is two year full time course consist of six trimesters. This program is dual specialization program where students can opt for two elective areas from a range of functional areas such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, International Business, operations and Agri-business. Our PGDM curriculum is divided into five parts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Three years Bachelor's degree of equivalent in discipline recognized by the AIU/AICTE with min. 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
  • MAT/CAT/UPSEE Score
  • For NRI candidates GMAT/GRE scores are acceptable.
  • Those who are appearing in their final year examination in this year, are also eligible, subject to proof of graduation (degree certificate/mark sheet) has to be submitted by the end of month of October.
