Master of Computer Applications

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two year (four semesters) professional Master's Degree in computer science awarded in India. The general eligibility criteria for MCA:

  • Duration: 2 years 4 semesters
  • Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or
    Equivalent Degree.
    OR
  • Passed B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University)
  • Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

The eligibility criteria for foreign candidates:

Candidates who are foreign nationals can join the MCA course offered by the institutions. In order to do so, they should have a valid passport and the necessary qualifications. They can join the course after they have passed the entrance examination. The admission will be done according to the norms and other provisions of the institution concerned.
